ACTING: Casting workshop with Amy Mete

Age group: Juniors (Grades 3-6)
Class Size: 14 max

A Junior Acting Workshop with Casting Director Amy Mete

What really happens in a casting audition? And how can young actors walk into the room, or step in front of the camera, feeling confident and prepared?

In this special one-day workshop, young actors will have the opportunity to work directly with industry Casting Director Amy Mete, gaining valuable insight into the audition process and what casting directors look for when working with young performers.

Designed specifically for actors aged 8–12, the workshop will demystify the casting process, helping students understand what to expect, how to prepare a self-tape and how to approach auditions with greater confidence.

Students will step into a mock casting session, performing a prepared scene in front of Amy and receiving individual feedback and direction. With multiple opportunities to perform, they'll explore how to take on adjustments, make stronger acting choices and develop their confidence in an audition setting.

With time for questions, practical advice and hands-on experience, this workshop offers an opportunity for young performers to learn directly from a working casting director in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Open to both new and returning YAS Studio students. Places are strictly limited to 14 participants.
