Who we are: YAS Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a creative training provider based in Victoria, Australia.

  • Student details: date of birth, school year/age group, emergency contacts.

  • Health information (optional but recommended): relevant medical, accessibility or support needs to enable safe participation.

  • Enrolment & payment: classes enrolled, attendance; payment confirmations (card details are handled by our payment gateway, not stored by us).

  • Communications & preferences: enquiries, feedback, marketing consents.

  • Website/technical: basic analytics, device/browser info, cookies (see “Cookies & analytics” below).

  • Directly from you: via our website forms and Class Manager Parent/Student Portal, email, phone, or in person.

  • Automatically: through our website platform and analytics tools using cookies or similar technologies.

4) Why we collect and use your information

We collect personal information to:

  • manage enrolments, classes and attendance

  • deliver safe services (including considering health or support needs)

  • communicate about classes, schedules, and studio updates

  • process payments and issue receipts

  • operate, maintain and improve our website and programs

  • send marketing with your consent (you can unsubscribe at any time)

  • meet legal, safety and compliance requirements.

5) Children and parental authority

For students under 18, we generally require a parent/guardian to provide information and consents. Where appropriate, we may assess a young person’s capacity to provide consent.

  • Service providers that help us operate (e.g., our class management system, payment gateway, email/CRM, website host, IT support, analytics).

  • Professional advisers (legal/accounting) and insurers where reasonably necessary.

Cross-border disclosure: Some providers may store data outside Australia (e.g., UK). We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients protect information in line with Australian standards.
