ENROLMENT AGREEMENT

By enrolling in YAS Studio programs, parents/guardians and students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and policies outlined in this agreement. These terms set out the rights, responsibilities, and expectations for participation in all YAS Studio programs.

1. Enrolment & Payment

1.1. Enrolment is confirmed once full payment has been received prior to the first class.

1.2. All fees are non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

1.3. Late payments may result in your child’s place being given to another student.

1.4. Parent Withdrawal: If a parent/guardian voluntarily withdraws their child, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

2. Attendance & Punctuality

2.1. Students must arrive on time and be collected promptly at the end of class.

2.2. Missed classes will not be refunded.

2.3. Students who are unwell should not attend class.

3. Student & Parent/Guardian Conduct

3.1. Students must behave respectfully toward teachers, peers, and equipment.

3.2. Bullying, harassment, or disruptive behaviour by students will not be tolerated.

3.3. Students and parents/guardians are expected to uphold YAS Studio values which include creativity, respect, teamwork, and positivity.

3.4. Students who breach conduct standards may be removed from programs without refund.

Parents/guardians are expected to:

3.5. Treat all YAS Studio staff, students, and families with respect and courtesy.

3.6. Support YAS Studio rules and values, and encourage your child to do so.

3.7. Communicate concerns politely and constructively, using designated channels (phone, email, or in-person meetings).

3.8. Refrain from entering classrooms unless invited. Parents/guardians are welcome in designated waiting areas or at special events, showcases, or end-of-term presentations, and must avoid disruptive behaviour in these spaces.

3.9. Recognise that repeated breaches of this Code may result in termination of enrolment without refund.

4. Photography, Filming & Media

4.1. YAS Studio may photograph or film classes for promotional purposes.

4.2. Parents/guardians must notify YAS Studio in writing if they do not consent to their child being photographed or filmed.

4.3. Social Media & Online Safety: Students and parents/guardians must behave respectfully online and not post images or videos of other students without consent. Social media interactions with staff must remain professional.

5. Health & Safety

5.1. Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical, learning, or behavioural conditions to ensure appropriate support.

5.2. Students who are unwell should stay home; refunds will not be provided. Make-up sessions may be arranged where possible.

5.3. Emergency & Evacuation: Staff are trained in evacuation procedures, and emergency exits are clearly marked. Parents/guardians will be notified of any emergency incidents.

5.4. COVID-19 / Health & Hygiene: Students should not attend if unwell. YAS Studio may implement hygiene measures or temporary class changes in line with public health requirements.

5.5. YAS Studio takes all reasonable steps to ensure a safe environment but accepts no liability for injuries due to inappropriate behaviour or failure to follow instructions.

6. Child Safety & Safeguarding

6.1. YAS Studio fully complies with Victorian Child Safe Standards and has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and neglect.

6.2. All staff, contractors, and volunteers hold current Working with Children Checks (WWCC).

6.3. All adults adhere to a Child Safety Code of Conduct.

6.4. Reporting Concerns: Parents/guardians may contact the Managing Director immediately for child safety concerns. Emergency services should be contacted if a child is in immediate danger (000).

7. Program Changes, Cancellation & Refunds

7.1. YAS Studio may alter class times, teachers, or venues.

7.2. If YAS Studio cancels a program, a full refund or credit will be offered.

7.3. Missed classes, student absences, or voluntary withdrawal by parents/guardians are not refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

7.4. Consumer Guarantees: If a service has a major problem (e.g., unsafe or not delivered as promised), parents/guardians are entitled to a remedy, including a refund, replacement, or compensation.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

8.1. YAS Studio collects personal information for enrolment and program purposes.

8.2. Information will be stored securely and not shared without consent, except where required by law.

8.3. Parents/guardians may request access to personal information we hold about their child.

9. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

9.1. For any concerns, disputes, or complaints (including refunds or child safety), parents/guardians may contact YAS Studio:

9.2. YAS Studio will review and respond timely and fairly, aiming to resolve all issues professionally.

10. Acceptance

By completing enrolment, parents/guardians and students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all sections of this Enrolment Agreement. This agreement is binding under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law and relevant Victorian legislation.
