ACTING: SCREEN ACTING (GROUP 2)

  • YAS Studio 90 Stubbs Street Kensington, VIC, 3031 Australia (map)

ACTING: Screen Acting (Group 2)

Age group: Juniors (Grades 3-6)
Class Size: 12 max

In this exciting two-day screen acting workshop, young performers will step in front of the camera and explore what it takes to create believable, truthful performances for film and television. Guided by professional actor and YAS Studio founder Daniel Fischer, students will learn the foundations of screen acting in a fun, supportive and creativity-filled studio environment.

Across the two days, students will work on scripted scenes while learning how actors break down scripts, understand character relationships and connect to a character’s emotional journey. Through practical exercises, improvisation, rehearsal and on-camera scene work, they’ll explore essential screen acting techniques including listening, reacting truthfully, emotional connection and adjusting performance for the camera.

Designed especially for juniors, this workshop encourages imagination, collaboration and confidence while giving students insight into how professional actors bring stories and characters to life on screen. Whether they’re brand new to acting or already love performing, it’s a fantastic opportunity to build skills, make creative choices and experience the excitement of screen acting.
