WHY CREATIVITY MATTERS AT THIS AGE

Building Confidence and Courage
Creative activities give Juniors a safe space to try new things, take risks, and trust their instincts. As they perform, draw, film or create, they build confidence in their voice and ideas.

Strengthening Communication and Collaboration
Working in groups teaches Juniors how to listen, share, and collaborate. They rotate roles, give and receive feedback, and experience the power of teamwork — skills they use well beyond the studio.

Developing Creative Problem-Solving Skills
Whether framing a shot or bringing a scene to life, Juniors learn to think creatively, adapt quickly, and solve problems with imagination — essential skills in every area of life.

Supporting Emotional Expression and Wellbeing
Creativity gives young people a healthy outlet to express feelings, build resilience and explore who they are. It’s not about perfection — it’s about joy, growth and feeling seen.

Laying the Groundwork for Future Opportunities
From acting to animation, early exposure to creative disciplines opens doors. Juniors begin developing skills and passions that can influence their interests in school, higher education or even future careers beyond the arts.

At YAS Studio, we see every young person as a storyteller with something unique to share. Our Juniors programs give them the tools, space, and encouragement to let their creativity fly.
