ANIMATION: CHARACTER CREATION
Age Group: Juniors (Grades 3-6)
Class Size: 10 max
Every great animated story starts with a character.
In this fun, hands-on two-day workshop, young artists will explore the exciting world of character creation for animation. Using iPads and Procreate, students will learn how animators turn simple shapes and ideas into colourful characters full of personality.
From superheroes and monsters to completely original creations, students will experiment with drawing, imagination and storytelling as they develop their own unique characters.
Guided by YAS teacher and animator Oscar Ramos, this workshop is all about creativity, confidence and having fun with ideas. Students will be encouraged to explore boldly, try new things and discover just how exciting it can be to bring their imagination to life on screen.
By the end of the workshop, each student will have created their own original animated character and taken their first steps into the creative process used by professional animators.
